Managing Process Information Tiles (Work Dashboards)

The Process Information tile displays the current status and allows modifications of process state, production assignments, shifts, and current notifications for processes the current user can use, based on Access Level (set by administrator; for more information, please see Editing Users) and process responsibility (set by user; for more information, please see Selecting My Processes).

1. In the work dashboard, locate the Process Information tile.

   

2. In the Process Information tile, you can do the following:

   • Examining Process Information Tile

     The Process Information Tile displays the processes the current user can use in alphanumeric order, allowing you to check or modify the current process states, process events, production assignments, and shifts.

     

     • Process & State. Displays the process name, as well as the process state by color and icon. For more information, please see Changing Process States.

       

       

       

       

       

       

       

       

     • Process Events. Displays the number of open process events, which are process events with no events codes assigned, out of the total number of process events. For example, 2/4 means there are two open process events of four total process events. For more information, please see Assigning Event Codes.
     • Production Assignments. Displays the parts (with lots) assigned to the process. For more information, please see Handling Production Assignments.
     • Shift. Displays the current shift, as well as the time remaining in shift. For more information, please see Handling Shifts.
   • Changing Process States

     Using the Process Information Tile, you can change an existing process state by redefining the current condition of the process (Start, Run, Idle, Stop, etc.), allowing you to update the status of your checks/shifts.

     To initiate a process state for the first time, please see Setting Process States.

     1. In the Process Information tile, select the process name.

        

     2. In the Process State drop-down list, select the desired process state, and then select Save.
   • Assigning Event Codes

     Using the Process Information Tile, you can assign an event code to a specific process, allowing you to provide more details to a process event by assigning event codes in addition to Part, Feature, and User.

     To create new event codes, please see Managing Event Codes.

     1. In the Process Information tile, select the notification bell.

        

     2. In the Process Events page, you can view details about the event codes, comments, and photos assigned to the process event.

        To view process event details, do the following:

        • Event Codes. Select the number in the Codes column for the desired process event to view a list of assigned event codes, along with the user who added each event code and the date and time the user added the code.
        • Comments. Select the number in the Comments column for the desired process event to view a list of assigned comments, along with the user who added each comment and the date and time the user added the comment.
        • Photos. Select the number in the Images column for the desired process event to view a list of assigned photos, along with the user who added each photo and the date and time the user added the photo.

     3. To manage event codes and comments, select the timestamp in the Time column for the desired process event.

        

     • In the Event Details page, do the following:

       

       Enact highlights required items with a lightning bolt icon on the Event Code or Comment button.

       In the Code data field, Enact displays the selected defective or variable code (if available). If the code was not selected or later deleted, Enact displays Undefined.

       The Late Event Type, will display the respective part and lot details associated with the late event, as long as there is only a single part and lot associated with the late event. If multiple parts/lots are associated with the late event, or there is no lot associated with the event, Enact displays Undefined.

       1. To add an event code, select Event Code , select the code type (if necessary), and then select the desired event code.
       2. To add an event comment, select Comment , type the comment, and then select Add.

       3. Using your device's camera through the browser running Enact, you can capture a photo and add that image to the event timeline, as follows:

          1. Select Camera .

             If you don't see Camera , you must configure the workflow associated with the event, selecting and dragging Reorder for the Camera item from the Not Allowed category to the Required or Optional categories. For more information, please see Creating Workflows.

             If Camera is grayed out and inactive, your camera is disconnected from your device or inaccessible from your browser.

             

          2. Aim your device's camera at the desired subject and then select the Camera button.

             

          3. To confirm the photo, select Done .

             To retake the photo, select Retake .

          If you capture a photo for a checklist question, you must also select a response for that question.

       4. To view an existing photo, select More and then select View Image.

          

          In the enlarged photo, you can zoom as follows:

          • On a device with an attached keyboard, select the image and then press + (plus) to zoom in and press - (minus) to zoom out.
          • On a device that supports pinch-to-zoom, pinch out to zoom in and pinch in to zoom out.
       5. To remove an existing photo, select More and then select Remove Image.

       6. To hide comments, activate the Show Comments slider.

          To show hidden comments, deactivate the Show Comments slider.

       7. To view the remaining required items for this event, select the My Remaining Items counter.

          

       8. Select Back .
   • Handling Production Assignments

     Using the Process Information Tile, you can assign a different Part and Lot to the Process when needed.

     1. To create a new production assignment when one does not currently exist, do the following:

        1. Select the process name, and then select Start Part.

           

        2. In the Part data field, select the desired part. HintTo locate the desired part, begin typing a string within the part. For example, to locate Part Name, you can type par or you can type nam.

           Enact displays output parts assigned to the part recipe(s) associated with this process.

        3. In the Lot data field, select the desired lot. HintTo locate the desired lot, begin typing a string within the lot. For example, to locate Lot Name, you can type lot or you can type nam.

           Enact will only allow you to view and select lots with Lot Testing set to Released. If the selected lot does not have Lot Testing set to Released, the production assignment is inactive.

        4. Select Start.

     2. To change an existing production assignment, do the following:

        1. Select the production assignment, and then select Change.

           

        2. In the Part data field, select the desired part. HintTo locate the desired part, begin typing a string within the part. For example, to locate Part Name, you can type par or you can type nam.

           Enact displays output parts assigned to the part recipe(s) associated with this process.

        3. In the Lot data field, select the desired lot. HintTo locate the desired lot, begin typing a string within the lot. For example, to locate Lot Name, you can type lot or you can type nam.
        4. Select Change. Enact assigns the selected part at the beginning of the current minute.
   • Pinning Production Assignments

     When production assignments overlap because the parts or lots have been scheduled for the same time, you can pin an active production assignment from the list of current production assignments. Enact treats the pinned production assignment as the only production assignment for that process. Data collections ignore all other assignments while the pin is active, which means manual data collections will bypass the part. At the same time, lot selection dialog boxes and automated data collections can upload data without requiring a specified part and lot.

     Pinning also enables users to assign dashboards to other users, which enables them to have relevant information readily available rather than having to search through all dashboards for the correct one.

     1. In the Process Information tile, select the part.

        

     2. In the dialog box, locate the desired part, and then select Pin .

        To deactivate the pin, locate the desired part, and then select Unpin .

   • Handling Shifts

     Using the Process Information Tile, you can change, extend, or revert the shift for a process, allowing you to change a shift for a specific process, extend the time set for the shift, or revert the shift to the original shift that was set.

     1. In the Process Information tile, select the shift.

        

     2. To continue the end time of the previous shift by the current time plus 30 minutes, select Revert.

        For example, Shift A is 7 AM - 3 PM (8 hours) and Shift B is 3 PM - 11 PM (8 hours). If you select Revert at 3:20 PM, Shift A is 7 AM - 3:50 PM (8 hours 50 minutes) and Shift B is 3:50 PM - 11 PM (7 hours 10 minutes).

     3. To start another shift immediately, select Change.

        By default, Enact starts the next shift immediately. If the time remaining in the current shift exceeds 4 hours, Enact prompts you for the desired shift.

        For example, Shift A is 7 AM - 3 PM (8 hours) and Shift B is 3 PM - 11 PM (8 hours). If you select Change at 2 PM, Shift A is 7 AM - 2 PM (7 hours) and Shift B is 2 PM - 11 PM (9 hours).

     4. To extend the end time of the current shift by 30 minutes, select Extend.

        Each time you select Extend, Enact will extend the end time of the current shift by an additional 30 minutes.

        Enact will extend the end time of all overlapping shifts.

        For example, Shift A is 7 AM - 3 PM (8 hours) and Shift B is 3 PM - 11 PM (8 hours). If you select Extend at 2:45 PM, Shift A is 7 AM - 3:30 PM (8 hours 30 minutes) and Shift B is 3:30 PM - 11 PM (7 hours 30 minutes).

     5. To manually start a shift early after an interval with no shifts (for example, a weekend), select the process name and then select Start Shift.

        By default, Enact will start the shift automatically at the scheduled time.

        For example, Shift A is 7 AM - 3 PM. If you arrive on Monday at 6:45 AM, you can start your shift early by selecting the process name and then selecting Start Shift.

   • Viewing All Processes

     Under the Process Information Tile, you can filter the Process States, Process Events, Production Assignments, and Shifts based on Process Name, Process State, Open Events, Shift Names, Parts, and Lots.

     1. In the Process Information tile, select View All (#).

        

     2. In the Processes landing page, you can perform the same functions as you could in the pro, including the following:

        • Changing Process States. For more information, please see Managing Process Information Tiles (Work Dashboards).
        • Assigning Event Codes. For more information, please see Handling Production Assignments.
        • Handling Production Assignments. For more information, please see Managing Process Information Tiles (Work Dashboards).
        • Handling Shifts. For more information, please see Handling Shifts.

     3. To control the processes that Enact displays on the Process Information landing page, do the following:

        1. Select Filters .

        2. In the Filters section, you can do the following:

           • Applying Filters

             Select one or more of the following filters and then select Search .

             • Process Name. Select the desired process. HintTo locate the desired process, begin typing a string within the process. For example, to locate Process Name, you can type pro or you can type nam.

             • State. Select the desired process state.
             • Open Events. To view open process events, which are process events with no events codes assigned, select Yes. To view closed process events, which are process events with event codes assigned, select No.

             • Shift Name. Select the desired shift. HintTo locate the desired shift, begin typing a string within the shift. For example, to locate Shift Name, you can type shi or you can type nam.

             • Part. Select the desired part. HintTo locate the desired part, begin typing a string within the part. For example, to locate Part Name, you can type par or you can type nam.

             • Lot. Select the desired lot. HintTo locate the desired lot, begin typing a string within the lot. For example, to locate Lot Name, you can type lot or you can type nam.

           • Clearing Filters

             Clear all filters currently applied to the Processes landing page.

             1. In the Filters section, select Clear .

                Enact will only enable Clear after you have applied one or more filters.

             2. Enact removes all applied filters, resetting all filter selections.
        3. To collapse the Filters section, select Filters .
