Getting Started
Congratulations on your new business, Cheery Chips! You'll be producing potato chips in two different flavors, BBQ and Sea Salt, and in two different sizes, 50 grams and 300 grams. From potato to store-ready packages, you'll need to ensure that you manufacture the highest quality snack with the least amount of discard, and the best way to do that is with Enact.
To improve the experience of users at all levels, InfinityQS designed Enact to support images for elements within the system, improving identification and efficiency. On the introduction page for each Getting Started tutorial, you will be able to download a zipped file of images.
Please download and unzip the file, saving the images in a folder that you can access (for example, the Windows Downloads folder).
This Getting Started tutorial assumes an existing hierarchy design, which you may not have, and may not want, in your Enact system. The default Enact hierarchy looks like this:
This tutorial expects the following hierarchies:
To match the expected hierarchy, please add the following:
- Slicing. Cheery Chips > Chips Division > North America Region > Fairfax > FA - Processing Department > FA - Slicing Area > FA - Slicing Unit
- Frying. Cheery Chips > Chips Division > North America Region > Fairfax > FA - Processing Department > FA - Frying Area > FA - Frying Unit
- Seasoning. Cheery Chips > Chips Division > North America Region > Fairfax > FA - Processing Department > FA - Seasoning Area > FA - Seasoning Unit
- Packaging. Cheery Chips > Chips Division > North America Region > Fairfax > FA - Packaging Department > FA - Packaging Area > FA - Packaging Unit
