Creating Tag Groups

Using this procedure, you will create the tag group.

  1. Select Access Menu and then select Labels | Tag Groups.
  2. In the Tag Groups landing page, select Create Tag Group.

  3. In the Tag Group Name data field, type the tag group name.
  4. To prevent users from adding new tags during data collection, activate the Lock list during use slider.
  5. In the Tag Type drop-down list, select and configure the desired tag type:

    • Numeric. Restrict tag data to numbers. To set the number range that users can type for a tag value, do the following:

      1. Select Range.

        If you cannot see the Range checkbox, select Define Rules to expand the section.

      2. In the Minimum data field, type the smallest allowable number for the tag value.
      3. In the Maximum data field, type the largest allowable number for the tag value.
    • Textual. Restrict tag data to text. To set the maximum number of characters that users can type for a tag value, do the following:

      1. Locate the Character Limit data field.

        If you cannot see the Character Limit data field, select Define Rules to expand the section.

      2. In the Character Limit data field, type the desired character limit.
  6. Select Save.

    To add new tags, you must first save the tag group.

  7. To add a new tag, select Create Tag and then do the following:

    1. In the Tag data field, type the tag name.
    2. To activate the tag, activate the Active slider.

      To deactivate the tag, deactivate the Active slider.

    3. Select Save, or select Save & Create Another to save the tag and immediately create another tag.
  8. To edit an existing tag, select Edit and then do the following:

    To filter existing tags, type the desired tag in the Search Tag data field and then select Search.

    1. In the Tag data field, type the tag name.
    2. To activate the tag, activate the Active slider.

      To deactivate the tag, deactivate the Active slider.

    3. Select Save.
  9. To remove an existing tag, select More and then select Remove. In the Remove Tag dialog box, select OK.

    To filter existing tags, type the desired tag in the Search Tag data field and then select Search.

  10. Select Save and then select Close to close the page.
