Starting and Stopping DCS

After configuration, you can start and stop the Data Collection Service from the DCS Browser or the Services Control Panel.

• Starting DCS

  • From DCS Browser

    1. In the DCS Browser menu bar, click File | Start Service.

       OR

       Double click the Stopped button at the bottom of the screen.

       OR

       Using the keyboard, press CTRL+S.

    2. DCS starts, and changes the Stopped button to a Running button.

  • From Services Control Panel

    1. On the DCS computer, open Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services.
    2. In the Services panel, locate and right click InfinityQS Data Collection Service, and then click Start.
    3. Click the OK button.
• Stopping DCS

  • From DCS Browser

    1. In the DCS Browser menu bar, click File | Stop Service.

       OR

       Double click the Running button at the bottom of the screen.

       OR

       Using the keyboard, press CTRL+T.

    2. DCS stops, and changes the Running button to a Stopped button.

  • From Services Control Panel

    1. On the DCS computer, click Start | Settings | Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, and then open Services.
    2. In the Services panel, locate and right click InfinityQS Data Collection Service, and then click Stop.
    3. Click the OK button.
