Editing Part Recipes

Using this procedure, you will edit the existing part recipe.

  1. Examine the Part Recipes page.

    To open the Part Recipes page, do the following:

    1. Select Access Menu and then select Data Collection | Process Models.
    2. In the Process Models landing page, select Edit.
    3. Select Part Recipe.
  2. In the Part Recipes page, load the existing part recipe, as follows:

    1. Locate the Select Rim Recipe data field.
    2. In the Select Rim Recipe drop-down list, select the existing part recipe. HintClosedTo locate the desired part recipe, begin typing a string within the part recipe. For example, to locate Recipe Name, you can type rec or you can type nam.
  3. Select each input part family.

  4. In the Assign Part for Input dialog box, do the following:

    1. To include inactive parts in the Part Name drop-down list, select Include inactive parts.
    2. To assign the part that is in the part family, select From Part Family, and then in the Part Name drop-down list, select the desired part.
    3. To assign the part that is not in the part family, select Other Part, and then in the Part Name drop-down list, select the desired part. HintClosedTo locate the desired part, begin typing a string within the part. For example, to locate Part Name, you can type par or you can type nam.
    4. In the Quantity data field, type the expected quantity of the part.
    5. In the Units drop-down list, select the desired unit type.
    6. Select OK.
  5. Select each output part family.

  6. In the Assign Part for Output dialog box, do the following:

    1. To assign the part that is in the part family, select From Part Family, and then in the Part Name drop-down list, select the desired part.
    2. To assign the part that is not in the part family, select Other Part, and then in the Part Name drop-down list, select the desired part. HintClosedTo locate the desired part, begin typing a string within the part. For example, to locate Part Name, you can type par or you can type nam.
    3. In the Quantity data field, type the expected quantity of the part.
    4. In the Units drop-down list, select the desired unit type.
    5. Select OK.
  7. Select Save.
