Gauge Formats

With the gauge format, you define how data is transmitted and how the data is parsed into separate fields. For example, some gauges output a single measurement (or field) followed by a carriage return, signaling the end of the data stream. Other gauges output several measurements (or fields) separated by commas or tabs, and followed by a carriage return, signaling the end of the data stream.
