Calculations (Packaging)

  1. Select Access Menu and then select Feature | Calculations.
  2. To create the Tare Weight - Avg calculation, select Create Calculation and then do the following:

    1. Add the following name and descriptors:

      • Calculation NameTare Weight - Avg
      • ProcessFA - Packaging Line 004

      • PartCrisps - BBQ - 300g, Crisps - BBQ - 50g, Crisps - SS - 300g, Crisps - SS - 50g

      • FeatureTare Weight

    2. Select the Calculation tab.
    3. Build the calculation as follows:

      1. In the f(x) section, select favg(x) to add the function to the calculation.
      2. In the Input(s) section, select the Tare Weight feature to insert the feature into the favg function.
      3. In the calculation builder text box, select after the favg function, outside of the parentheses.
      4. Type =tare and then select anywhere on the calculation page.
      5. Select the temporary feature tare.
      6. In the Configure Output dialog box, select the Save as Feature radio button and then select the Tare Weight - Avg feature. HintClosedTo locate the desired feature, begin typing a string within the feature. For example, to locate Feature Name, you can type fea or you can type nam.
      7. Select Save.
    4. Select Save & Close.
  3. To create the Net Weight calculation, select Create Calculation and then do the following:

    1. Add the following name and descriptors:

      • Calculation NameNet Weight
      • ProcessFA - Packaging Line 004

      • PartCrisps - BBQ - 300g, Crisps - BBQ - 50g, Crisps - SS - 300g, Crisps - SS - 50g

      • FeatureGross Weight

    2. Select the Calculation tab.
    3. Build the calculation as follows:

      1. Select Input and then do the following:

        1. In the Feature drop-down list, select Tare Weight - Avg. HintClosedTo locate the desired feature, begin typing a string within the feature. For example, to locate Feature Name, you can type fea or you can type nam.

        2. In the Process drop-down list, select Is any process.

        3. Select Save.
      2. In the Input(s) section, select the Gross Weight feature to insert the feature.
      3. Type -.
      4. In the Input(s) section, select the Tare Weight - Avg feature to insert the feature.
      5. Type =net and then select anywhere on the calculation page.
      6. Select the temporary feature net.
      7. In the Configure Output dialog box, select the Save as Feature radio button and then select the Net Weight feature. HintClosedTo locate the desired feature, begin typing a string within the feature. For example, to locate Feature Name, you can type fea or you can type nam.
      8. Select Save.
    4. Select Save & Close.
