Managing Event Pareto Charts
The Event Pareto chart is a frequency chart that illustrates occurrences of process events on a bar chart, most frequent to least frequent, organised by code, and based on the selected data stream.
-
In the Event Pareto chart, you can do the following:
-
Viewing Chart Summary
Using this procedure, you will examine the summarised data in the Event Pareto chart.
-
In the Event Pareto chart, locate the Chart Summary.
-
In the Event Pareto summary panel, review the following data about the Event Pareto chart:
- Total Events. Event count in the Event Pareto chart.
- Date Range. Start and end date for the collected data in the Event Pareto chart.
- Part(s). Part in the Event Pareto chart.
- Process(es). Process in the Event Pareto chart.
- Feature(s). Feature in the Event Pareto chart.

Downloading Tiles
Using this procedure, you will download the contents of the Event Pareto chart into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
- In the Event Pareto chart, select More and then select Download.
- In the Download dialog box, select Save, and in the Save As dialog box, browse to the desired save location on the computer (for example, the Windows Downloads folder).
-
In Microsoft Excel, open the saved file and examine the contents of the downloaded Event Pareto chart. Microsoft Excel displays the contents expanded or collapsed as it was in the Event Pareto chart.
The Pareto chart has the option to download event details to an Events tab. Select Event Details to add this information to your report download. The Events tab shows event details based on the filters and event levels defined while generating the report.-
Events can have event codes and comments associated with them. By default, the event code is blank.
-
If there are multiple comments or event codes for an event, the comment or event count is displayed Events with multiple event codes or comments have expandable rows which can be collapsed when you have finished reviewing the details.
If Part and Lot have been added as levels to the chart, the Late Event Type will display the respective part and lot details associated with the late event on the downloaded Pareto Chart Process Events page, as long as there is only a single part and lot associated with the late event. If multiple parts/lots are associated with the late event, or there is no lot associated with the event, Enact displays Undefined.
