Gauges
Using serial gauge devices and interfaces, you can measure dimensions and test mechanical accuracy, and then transfer the data into Enact.
- Gauge Interfaces. By configuring configure the Serial Communication Port protocol for the interface, you establish the interface connection (multiplexer or other device).
- Gauge Formats. With the gauge format, you define how data is transmitted and how the data is parsed into separate fields. For example, some gauges output a single measurement (or field) followed by a carriage return, signaling the end of the data stream. Other gauges output several measurements (or fields) separated by commas or tabs, and followed by a carriage return, signaling the end of the data stream.
- Gauge Devices. You configure the settings for the gauge attached to the interface.
